Domaine Dirler-Cadé

Nestled in the village of Bergholtz, Domaine Dirler-Cadé represents more than 150 years of family dedication to winemaking. The story began in 1871 with Jean Dirler, and the estate has been passed down through five generations. In 2000, the union of Jean Dirler and Ludivine Hell-Cadé brought together two historic Alsatian families, giving birth to the present-day Domaine Dirler-Cadé.

Since 1998, the domaine has been a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture (certified by both Demeter and Biodyvin), long before it became widely adopted. Farming is carried out with deep respect for nature: hand-harvesting, horse-ploughing on steep slopes, and natural preparations that allow the vines to thrive and reflect their unique terroirs with exceptional clarity.

The 18-hectare estate includes nearly half its vines in four prestigious Grand Cru sites in Saering, Kessler, Kitterlé, and Spiegel. In the cellar, minimal intervention prevails: spontaneous fermentations, extended lees aging, and a philosophy that lets the vintage and soil speak for themselves.

The wines are models of purity, precision, and longevity—ranging from crystalline dry styles and harmonious off-dry cuvées to luscious Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles. Versatile and gastronomic, they beautifully capture the soul of Alsace.
