The Winery

Clos Cibonne, nestled in the heart of Provence, is a historic estate renowned for its distinctive wines crafted predominantly from the native Tibouren grape variety.

Tibouren, an ancient grape believed to have originated in Mesopotamia, spread by the Greeks, and later transported to Italy by the Romans, where it’s known as Rossese. Tibouren is a very fine, thin-skinned grape which requires a lot of ventilation to be successful and needs to grow close to the ocean, with lots of ventilation to be successful and avoid issues with rot. All of these requirements make Clos Cibonne the perfect terroir for tibouren, as they are walking distance to the ocean and constantly blasted with the drying winds from the mistral.

The Clos Cibonne’s Tentations are its hallmark and show passion for Côtes de Provence wines as well as for other French vineyards: favourites and discoveries that we will share with you.
