Champagne Gonet-Medeville Bouzy Grand Cru “Les Savelons” Extra Brut 2020

Pale gold with subtle orange highlights and a fine, persistent bead. Expressive aromas of ripe red berries mingle with brioche, toasted almond, and chalky minerality. On the palate, lush red‑fruit compote and stone‑fruit notes unfold beneath a creamy mousse, underpinned by saline minerality and a bright seam of citrus acidity. The finish is long and precise, with a gentle chalky grip. Only 3,500 bottles of this Bouzy Grand Cru were produced for the 2020 vintage.

A small 0.4 ha plot of Pinot Noir vines in Les Savelons with full southern exposure on an ideal hillside site. The 2020 harvest in Champagne was generally favourable: a warm season with controlled rainfall yielded healthy grapes with a precise balance of acidity and ripeness. 

WINEMAKING & MATURING

Hand-harvested. Gentle pressed, racked, and vinified in 100% used barrels. Bottled seven months after the harvest and aged on lees for 51 months with a dosage of 5.5g/l.
