Summer Winery Tour: Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux

As part of our Summer Winery Tour, we visited some of our distinct estates in the portfolio to experience the region’s diverse terroir. One of the standout stops was Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux in Vacqueyras.

We were guided by Frédéri Férigoule—Serge’s son, who has worked alongside his father since 2003 to carry forward the family’s winemaking legacy. Together, we savoured signature cuvées that echo the unique terroir of clay‑limestone soils and the famous galets roulés beneath ancient vines.

We were enchanted by the white wine Un Sang Blanc, a rare jewel of the appellation—white wine accounts for only about 5% of total production in Vacqueyras! A unique blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, and Marsanne, it offers a stunning profile of white flowers, stone fruits, and a profound mineral depth. It is truly a hidden treasure that completely reframes what this terroir can achieve, especially at such great value.

Domaine Le Sang des Cailloux is led by the charismatic Serge Férigoule, who has championed organic farming since 1990 and shifted to full biodynamics in 2010. On this 17-hectare estate, the family produces world-class wines with a deeply personal touch—naming many cuvées after Serge’s daughters.

Peek inside the cellar and you will discover the meticulous craft and passion behind each bottle we proudly carry at Fine Wine Reserve.
