Grapes are sourced from a domaine which works along the same philosophy as Domaine Muzard. The grapes are pressed; the must is lightly clarified before being placed into barrels. Alcohol fermentation is achieved with indigenous yeast.
The Winery
Domaine Muzard is a family-owned estate that has been producing exceptional wines for several generations. Some ancient records even identify a winemaker named Lucien Muzard as far back as 1645 in Santenay, the heart of the Côte-D’Or.
Two brothers, Claude since 1987 and then Herve three years later, take over the family estate from their father. They embark on a complete transformation to focus all 18 hectares on their passion for quality over quantity. They are both joined in 2019 by Capucine, Claude’s daughter.
Today, Muzard is known for its dedication to balancing traditional techniques with more modern and organic methods combined with a passionate commitment to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Côte de Beaune.
