FWR x Riedel Wine Glass Experience (June 2025)

In early June this year, we partnered with RIEDEL GLASS @riedelpartner_hk for a guided wine glass tasting experience at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club — featuring Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay. A fascinating reminder that the shape of a wine glass can truly reveal a wine’s character.

Wine selection:

🍷 Joseph-Cattin, Riesling 2022
100% Riesling. Noses of green apple, white peach, and subtle floral notes. Fresh and crisp in the mouth, bright acidity and a mineral-tinged finish.

🍷 Domaine Lucien Muzard, Bourgogne Chardonnay 2023
100% Chardonnay. Aromas of citrus, vanilla, and acacia blossoms. On the palate, bright acidity and mineral with a rich and creamy texture and layers of flavours similar to the nose. Nice balance between tension and roundness

🍷 Domaine Perraud, Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023
100% Pinot Noir. Fruity with notes of fresh berries, blackcurrants and cherries. Medium-bodied, fresh acidity and hints of spice, supple tannins, and good length.

🍷 Chateau Caronne Ste-Gemme 2018
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Blackcurrant and black cherry, with hints of tobacco, violets, and cocoa on the nose. Medium to full bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Round and elegant, structured and well balanced.
